Australia: The Land Where Time Began

A biography of the Australian continent 

This is a large limestone rock shelter, at an altitude of about 170 m, facing almost due west in the valley of the small Acheron River, about 9 km from Warreen Cave and 15 km from Kutikina Cave, Tasmania. The floor is about 40 sq m in area and about 140 cm deep. The cave was occupied between 30,000 and 13,000 years ago, after which it was abandoned. The findings had not been published at the time of writing.
