Mt Narryer, Western Australia

The original 5 zircon crystals were found at Mt Narryer with an average age of 4.15 billion years. The Mt Narryer Sediments in which the zircon crystals were deposited, which was mostly sand, was laid down about 3.65 billion years ago, the result of a previous cycle of mountain building and erosion.
